Surprisingly lovely Russian restaurant on 20th St. close to Park Avenue, producing one of the best Russian meals I have ever eaten. Welcoming outside appearance, friendly staff, looking like composed from some Russian supermodels dwelling in NYC (no, they were really nice and executing their job perfectly 🙂

Very interesting presentation of bread as an appetiser, actually very good.

I have tried some of Russian top classics wondering how the Manhattan version looks like. Borsch, executed perfectly, tender, lovely taste of fresh beetroot, dill and sour cream.

Stroganoff (I went for chicken version after having some beef orgy day before). Taste was exactly as it should be. Simply perfect.

Russian beer Baltika of course.

All in all: very good, probably focusing on Russians living on Manhattan, but interesting add-on to the complex NYC culinary portfolio.
